Tutorial

This tutorial just runs through several simple computations. This gives you several simple computations to use as examples. It will be easier for you if you print out each sample computation so you can follow it as to follow the steps with your computer.

Before you run any computations, several things should be accomplished.

Install Inter-Est

Follow the instructions for installing Inter-Est.

Set Default Options

You should set the default case options before you create you first case file. From the Options Menu set the Computation Method, Rounding option and the AutoCompute option. To start set the Computation Method to Guess, set the rounding method to nearest cent, and set the AutoCompute option to on.

Select a Printer Font

Select Printer Font from the File Menu and select a sutable font. Do not select a fancy or unusual font. Select a simple font in 10 or 11 point.

Once these setting are set in a satisfactory manner, it is time to try a simple computation.
